Paul is a communications expert specialising in strategy, framing, messaging and crisis communications. He has extensive expertise in energy, environmental and foreign policy issues, with vast experience working in South Asia and South East Asia. He has consulted and executed broad-scale communication campaigns for a range of prominent individuals and institutions including Heads of Government, celebrities, NGOs and multilateral organisations.

For over six years, Paul has served as communications advisor to President Mohamed Nasheed of the Maldives. In doing so, he has helped President Nasheed build an exceptional international profile. Paul played a key role in orchestrating world-renowned media events such as the Maldives’ underwater cabinet meeting, and spearheaded the Maldives’ prominent international climate change advocacy agenda. Paul also provides strategic communications advice to the Head of Government of another Asian country.



Jonathan Rich has extensive experience in international communication, advocacy and media relations. Previously, Jonathan served as Director of Strategic Communications for the United Nations Foundation (UNF), which represents businessman and philanthropist Ted Turner's historic $1 billion gift to United Nations causes.

More than ten years ago, after leaving the UN Foundation, Jonathan founded his own consulting practice, JCR Communications, Inc., working with such clients as the Executive Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), UNICEF, WaterAid, the UN Foundation, Greenpeace International and the Ford Foundation.

Over the course of his career, Jonathan has developed and implemented international strategies for advocacy and media relations, crafted and placed op-eds in top tier U.S. and international media and written speeches for senior international figures including top political leaders and Chief Executive Officers.
